«I was ready to give up» and other lies we tell often.

«To be ready to give up» is a lie in itself.

To commit suicide has nothing to do with giving up.

In fact, «giving up» is exactly what you need.

Nothing else.

Killing yourself is an act. It takes action. It is the furthest opposite of giving up.

It is the story you tell yourself taking over the experience of Life itself.

Some call it Ego. Some call it the Devil. It is a voice inside of you, different from your essence -that which you brought with you the moment you were born and were clean of all stories-.

However you want to call it, a portion of you, complex as it may be, an artifact to your true self and a force that leads you to do, to say, to act, to believe, to suffer…can take over your life if you are entangled with it for long enough.

Do not believe all the stories you tell yourself.
